
Auto insurance firm, State Farm, in collaboration with a telematics company now offers its customers some of the vehicles communications systems, as well as the opportunity to take advantage of discounts on their auto insurance rates. This is a joint effort is called in the drive and uses a technology that has been developed by the Farm Atlanta-based Hughes Telematics Inc.. State will begin offering this optional service to customers in Illinois, at some time in September and is likely to be offered in other states next year too.
